Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been won on hardcourt
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his maiden title for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging period, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serving in especial - led to him dropping out of the elite rankings and eventually separating with long-term trainer Gilles Cervara.
Presently training with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily improved in the recent weeks - culminating in a hard-fought competitive victory over opponent Moutet.
This marks his maiden title following the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface since that period of the previous year.
The win also signifies he has secured twenty-one titles at twenty-one different competitions.
"For the first time I'm at a event with my two daughters simultaneously, so to get a championship is particularly special," stated ranked player Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had lost his past six title deciders, including in Halle earlier this year.
The player's retrieving approach and regular reactions on the playing surface had prompted commentators to wonder if his ability to compete at the elite level was concluded.
But the player has made changes in the past month, striving to come to the net and play aggressively, backed up by an enhanced serving game.
The champion came back from a break down in the initial set against the difficult Moutet, securing four of the final five games to go ahead.
The pair exchanged break points in the second set before Moutet, striving for his first ATP Tour championship, seized the initiative to push for a decider.
The opponent saved four early break points in a competitive final set before the champion broke to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, he earned the title with a shot at the net, with Moutet unable to manage a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
